Source of Life walk raising funds for FORW and GIST Cancer UK

At our 'Restore The River' event in February we were approached by Drewe Lacey (who is now a District Governor in Rotary Great Britain and Ireland) who said he was keen to organise some more fund-raising for Friends of the River Wye. Fast forward to today, and, after a lot of planning, Drewe is limbering up for something of a marathon.

Between 11th and 21st September he has arranged a sponsored walk along the length of the Wye, from the source to the Severn, together with his daughter and a varied group of companions.

The project has the name 'Source of Life', and it will be a fund-raiser both for Friends of the River Wye and for the charity GIST Cancer UK; what makes this effort all the more remarkable is that Drewe is a GIST Cancer survivor.

All are invited to donate, and to join him on the walk; additionally there will be lunch events at Builth Wells, Hereford, and Ross on Wye. Read more about Drewe and the walk and find links to donate at http://www.sourceoflife.co.uk/
